Matt Lagus has been playing violin classically for nearly two decades and in church worship settings for 10+ years. It took him years of trial and error to become confident playing in church, and that's why he's passionate about helping others use their gifts to glorify God—without all the mistakes he made. He created Worship Crash Course to do just that: to help musicians learn everything they need to know (technique and heart posture) to worship confidently in alignment with the Holy Spirit.
When he isn't equipping worship musicians, you can find Matt and Hannah (his wife) hiking, canoeing the lakes and rivers of Minnesota, playing almost any sport/game, traveling, cooking delicious food, or reading a good book.

Whenever you're ready! Worship Crash Course is designed as an asynchronous program. You can start whenever works best for you! Watch the lesson videos, practice the hands-on exercises, and access all of our course resources—all on your own time.
One note on the GUIDED Package: if GUIDED is sold out for this month, you may have to wait until a future month to begin your weekly 1-on-1 calls. WCC is designed to be completed in about 8 weeks. Every week you will watch one lesson video, practice hands-on exercises, and complete a short reflection.
Some, but not much. Aside from practicing your weekly exercises (and sending us a video of you playing them), each lesson will include a short reflection. Otherwise, the main homework is practicing! Speaking of which...
The weekly exercises are designed to streamline your growth as a worship musician without requiring excessive amounts of time. With that said, the more you put into this course, the more you'll get out of it. We'll tell you exactly what/how to practice, but YOU need to put in the work. If you put in the time, you'll see the results!
